The Food & Wine Foundation of Texas put on their 14th Annual Big Reds & Bubbles event at the breathtakingly beautiful, historic Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin.
“An assortment of recent vintage and non-vintage champagnes and sparklers, affectionately dubbed “Bubbles” prepare palates to sample a complete range of “Big Reds” from all corners of the globe. Savory bites and sweet treats are whipped up on site by nearly two dozen of Austin’s top restaurants…”
With over 100 sparkling and big red wines with bites from over 20 of Austin restaurants, we were a bit overwhelmed!
The bites were delicious! Ceviche, Lamb loin (Driskill Bar & Grill), Lamb meatballs in a raspberry glaze, Ahi Tuna Tartare (Eddie V’s), decadent chocolates and more.
